Kliklok installs C80 sleever in Denmark

In partnership with Schur Technology a/s, Kliklok International recently installed their highly successful Certiwrap C80 wraparound cartoner for Danish poultry company Danpo.
Specifically designed for the prepared foods market, the C80 is running two sizes of PET ready meal trays of various weights, with film lid, at 60 sleeves per minute. Kliklok was able to incorporate certain modifications requested specially by Danpo, including SEW motors and a powered carton hopper to provide longer production time between sleeve replenishing. Schur Technology designed the shaped partial wraparound sleeve, incorporating a cut-out on the underside to enable the sleeve to adhere to the tray upon glueing.
The C80 was chosen with a gated infeed as standard, however Kliklok offers a number of optional infeeds, depending on the level of automation required and product characteristics.
The continuing success of the Certiwrap range can be attributed to several beneficial features - including quick 3-dimensional size change achievable in less than 10 minutes, and the ability to run round, oval and rectangular trays on the same machine.
