A number of fruit & vegetable producers have recently chosen this simple but efficient machine to erect recycled carton board ‘shelf-ready’ trays to contain & display their produce.
The Kliklok JR carton erector was selected for its reputation as a versatile and dependable machine, designed to accommodate small to medium sized cartons at up to 60 cartons per minute. This makes it ideally suited for hand pack operations, providing a steady flow of formed cartons or trays.
With economic and environmental factors now playing a strong role in the packaging business, this preference for using recycled carton board trays indicates a noticeable retreat from traditional plastic punnets.
Given recent improvements in the quality, variety, and availability of recycled paperboard, many consumer product industries have switched to recycled. In fact, around half of the cartoned products on supermarket shelves are now packaged in recycled paperboard.
